It's cutdown time, and a lot of big, medium and small names will be available to sign with any team in the next week or so. Here are some of the interesting -- maybe -- ones so far.
QUARTERBACK
---
Kyle Orton
Thaddeus Lewis
Josh Freeman
Tyler Thigpen
Orton seems most likely to get a call at some point. Lewis would be second. All quiet on the Freeman front.
RUNNING BACK
---
Edwin Baker
Andre Brown
Michael Bush
Felix Jones
Baker looked pretty good for the Browns down the stretch last season. I actually held onto the guy in dynasty for most of the offseason. One of these top three guys should get a chance with a team at some point this season, once injuries strike, as they always do.
WIDE RECEIVER
---
Danario Alexander
Davone Bess
Earl Bennett
Jon Baldwin
Uh, yeah, not much to see here. Alexander carries too much injury risk. The other guys either don't bring much to the table or simply can't play. I guess technically Chad Johnson (Ochocinco?) wants back into the league.
TIGHT END
---
Jermichael Finley
Dustin Keller
Finley can't get medically cleared, Keller recently admitted he's not 100 percent healthy. Still, maybe one of these guys gets a shot at some point. Keller seems like a better bet, with teams apparently wary of Finley's neck injury.
KICKER
---
Jay Feely
Dustin Hopkins
Lawrence Tynes
David Akers
I know, they're kickers, so who cares. Still, one of these guys may just end up kicking for Denver the first five weeks of the season, with Matt Prater suspended until Week 6 (Broncos have an early bye). Give Feely the edge.
