Privacy Policy

Additional Rights for Residents of California

Fantasy Index is committed to protecting your privacy. The following text describes how we use the information you give us. We have tried to use plain language here, but if you have any questions or concerns, please contact us directly by e-mail at customerservice@fantasyindex.com, or by telephone at 206-527-4444.

Information Provided By You To Fantasy Index

To process your orders and to remember what products you have purchased, we ask for your name, e-mail address, and home address. This information is required to process and fulfill your order. We also ask you to define a password so the other owners in your league can't log in and view the updates you purchase, or re-route delivery from your e-mail box to theirs.

You can review and edit your customer profile at any time at www.fantasyindex.com/members/profile.

When you participate in discussions on the Fantasy Index website, we will display the user name you provide to us. We do not allow any other user to see your other personal information.

We may request information when you participate in Fantasy Index games, surveys, contests, etc. You may choose whether or not to participate, and therefore whether to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information and demographic information (for example, your age, or your zip code). Contact information will be used to notify contest winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and functionality of the Fantasy Index website, magazine and associated products, and for gathering aggregated demographic information that we may share with advertisers or other interested parties. Any information disclosed will be a composite picture of a group of Fantasy Index users, and will NOT include personally identifiable information that points to you.

Your Credit Card Information

To fulfill your orders, we ask for your credit card information at the time of purchase. We do not keep your credit card information on file, so nobody can steal it. You must re- enter your credit card information each time you make a purchase. While there is some inconvenience, this practice provides a high level of protection for our customers. To learn more about how Fantasy Index keeps your transactions safe, please see www.fantasyindex.com/help-and-support/security.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Fantasy Index website, certain information about your visit is automatically collected.

Website Traffic Logging

Like almost all websites, we record non-personal information provided by your browser, including your IP address, the page you requested, how long you visit a page, how many times you visit a page, information you search for, browser type, language setting, and the date and time of your request. We use this traffic data to diagnose technical problems, to see which pages are more or less popular with customers, and for the purpose of general website administration.

Cookies

Our websites use cookies, which are stored on your computer. Cookies help us remember you on subsequent visits to the website. They also make it possible for you to pass through password-protected areas of the website. If you are concerned about the information stored in cookies, we recommend that you sign out after each visit. We have no access to, or control over, cookies stored on your computer by other third parties. It is possible to deactivate cookies in your browser, but this will prevent the Fantasy Index store and subscriber area from functioning.

Google Analytics

Like many websites, Fantasy Index uses Google Analytics to help us understand how people use the website so that we can continue to improve it and to diagnose problems. Other services are sometimes used to monitor technical performance of the website.

Our website uses Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting, which only applies to website visitors who have not opted out of this feature in their Google account. To see and control your privacy options associated with Google Analytics products, visit tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.

Communication

We occasionally send e-mail announcements about Fantasy Index. Some of these e-mails are about new products, and you can control whether you receive these e-mails. You can stop product-related e-mails by using the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the e-mail. If you prefer, you may sign into the subscriber area, click on “Your Account,” and change the Mailing Preferences option to unsubscribe from announcements.

Even if you unsubscribe from announcements, we will continue to send you e-mail in specific circumstances. We will respond to your requests for technical support. We may attempt to send password reset links if you request them. We may attempt to send you a receipt via e-mail whenever you make a purchase. And we may attempt to send any pay-for newsletters you have purchased.

In some cases, we are required to notify you about important changes on our website. You will receive these e-mails even if you use the “Don’t Subscribe” option.

Fantasy Index will send you e-mail in response to a question sent directly to us.

If you request assistance by telephone, or if we decide that a telephone call is the best and fastest way to assist you, then we may use a phone number provided in your customer profile, or a number that you have provided in relation to your inquiry, or a phone number we find through an internet search.

Fantasy Index occasionally sends messages through the U.S. Postal Service.

Sharing Information

We will not rent or sell your personal information, including your e-mail address, phone number, mailing address, etc., with anyone outside of Fantasy Index.

Third-party providers deliver physical products by mail (for example, ink-on-paper magazines and renewal reminders) and electronic products to you. Our merchant payment processor handles credit card transactions. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling your order.

We may share aggregated statistics with advertisers, but we will never give them your name or any specific data about you. For example, we might tell an advertiser that "33 percent of our visitors have Gmail addresses" or "1,700 people entered our Beat the Experts reader poll”, but we never tell them exactly who those people are.

We may provide subscriber information to third-party companies for reasons including (but not limited to) completing promotional subscription offers, delivering purchased goods and services, entering contests and awarding prizes.

We may provide subscriber profile information to our third-party providers who help us to identify people whose interests are similar to yours – for instance, so that we might display Fantasy Index advertising on other websites to people who play fantasy sports.

We may disclose personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to: (1) comply with a legal process and applicable laws; (2) enforce this privacy policy; (3) respond to claims that any materials, document, image, graphic, logo, design, audio, video or other information provided by you violates the rights of a third party; or (4) protect the rights, property or personal safety of Fantasy Index, its users or the public.
