NFL Injury Report

MNF injury report

Reggie Wayne, Vontae Davis on track to play

The Colts and Giants (who’ll play on Monday night) have released their injury designations. No surprises on them; it’s what was expected on Friday.

Reggie Wayne and Vontae Davis are the two key guys for the Colts. Wayne is a starting receiver, while Davis is a good cornerback. They’re both going to play; they practiced fully on Friday and today.

When Davis got hurt, that played a role in the Indianapolis defense completely falling apart at Pittsburgh. That defense will be stronger on Monday.

Also for the Colts, Trent Richardson (hamstring) isn’t even on their injury report, so he’s presumably 100 percent. Richardson should split time with Ahmad Bradshaw (former Giant alert).

With Wayne healthy you can forget about any fleeting notion of maybe trying Hakeem Nicks for a spot start against his original team. Nicks might not even be the No. 3 receiver in that offense anymore; he got outplayed by rookie Donte Moncrief last week.

For the Giants, Rashad Jennings (knee) definitely isn’t playing. It will be Andre Williams starting at tailback. Jennings didn’t practice all week, so it’s fair to wonder if he’ll also miss their next game.
