The Steelers and Titans have released their injury listings for Monday night, and there is an interesting name on there. It looks like Delanie Walker might play.
Walker left the game at Baltimore with a concussion. He didn’t practice at all on Thursday or Friday. But he was cleared to participate in a limited fashion at Saturday’s practice, and he’s questionable on the injury report.
Walker must be checked by an independent neurologist before he’s allowed to play Monday. Sounds like Walker isn’t sure to play, but that if you were guessing you would figure he’ll be out there.
This downgrades (in our opinion) the team’s wide receivers. Walker is a big part of that passing game; he catches a lot of balls, and he’s been their busiest guy inside the red zone. So if he’s playing, it makes it less likely that Justin Hunter or Kendall Wright might string together a serviceable game.
Nothing else on either report looks particularly interesting.
The Titans have both of their third-down backs listed as questionable. Both Dexter McCluster and Leon Washington were limited in practice all week (but at least they were doing some work each day).
Pittsburgh will be without four defensive starters, but mostly guys they’ve been playing without: Troy Polamalu, Steve McLendon, Ike Taylor and Ryan Shazier.
