NFL Injury Report

Monday Night Injuries

Megatron will play, but probably not 100 percent

The Lions and Saints have released their final injury reports for Monday night's game in New Orleans. There aren't any surprises, but it's reasonable to be a little concerned about a key player.

Calvin Johnson (ankle) and Eric Ebron (illness) are both listed as Questionable. They didn't practice on Saturday. With Ebron, the game is more than 48 hours away, so it's likely he'll be healthy and fine for the game.

With Johnson, no one doubts he'll be active and play. But the fact that he didn't practice on Saturday on even a limited basis is awfully similar to last week, when he practiced on a limited basis on Thursday, didn't practice on Friday, then played on Sunday -- but caught only one pass, late in the game. He has a great matchup, but he's probably playing hurt.

This is how he appeared in our Friday update rankings -- still a quality starter, but not the top-5 WR he'd likely be in this choice matchup with a terrible defense if fully healthy. Still, you've got to figure if his role is at all limited, he'll be a main target around the goal line, facing a team that's given up more touchdown passes than anyone else in the league.

Another Lions receiver, Lance Moore, is probable to face his former team after missing the last two games with an ankle injury. If you buy into the idea that Johnson will be at less than full health, the No. 3 WR might be relied on a little more. Golden Tate looks very good, and Moore looks viable in deeper leagues as a guy who will maybe catch a few passes.

Detroit has three other players listed as questionable, but all put in limited practices on Saturday and are expected to play. Haloti Ngata (neck) should play, helping the team's run defense (which was gutted by Todd Gurley last week, though of course, he's Todd Gurley).

The Saints, apart from the various guys they've placed on injured reserve, are healthy. Six players listed on they're report, and they're all Probable. All of them put in either a limited practice or a full one on Saturday.
