Jordan Leggett

New Jet joins team that hasn't thrown to tight ends

I picked up Jordan Leggett in my dynasty league the other day. I'd been closed out from the top tight end prospects in my rookie draft, but Leggett was available, and he has some ability. He caught 46 passes for 736 yards and 7 TDs for Clemson last season. He goes to the Jets, who haven't thrown to tight ends in recent years, but New York could be looking to change all that.

Chan Gailey ran New York's offense the last two years, but the Jets have a new coordinator. John Morton comes over from the Saints, where he coached wide receivers the last two years. New Orleans, of course, does throw to its tight ends. Much more in 2015 than last year, but that's because they mistakenly believed that Coby Fleener would be good.

In any case, no team has had worse production from its tight ends than the Jets the last two seasons, while the Saints have ranked 11th in receptions and 10th in yards.

Leggett won't be handed a starting job and couldn't be expected to do much s a rookie regardless, but seems like a valid dynasty prospect.
