Question
The Steelers play the Bengals tonight, bringing back bad memories for the local fans. These teams have met twice in playoff games -- both in Cincinnati -- and Pittsburgh won both of them. In the Super Bowl era, what are the only other two teams that are 2-0 against an opponent in playoff games, with both wins coming on the road. One team (one that will surprise many) is 2-0 against two different opponents. The other team won its two playoff games in 2001 and 2008.
Answer
The New York Jets are the double entry. They won at Cincinnati in 1982 and 2009. They also won both of their playoff games at San Diego, in 2004 and 2009 (that second win coming the week after they defeated the Bengals). Also (as Dennis Lyons points out), the Ravens won at Miami in both 2001 and 2008.
