Question
Baltimore plays Buffalo Sunday in a matchup of teams with quarterbacks who run for touchdowns. Both Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson have both run for 7-plus TDs. When was the only time in the Super Bowl era that two quarterbacks with 8-plus rushing touchdowns stepped onto the field to play against each other? It happened in the ‘90s, and the two quarterbacks were in the same division.
Answer
Going back to 1997, with Pittsburgh and Tennessee (both in the AFC Central at the time). Those teams played in Week 17 that year, with Kordell Stewart having run in 11 touchdowns for the Steelers, and Steve McNair having scored 8 for the Titans.
