Sunday morning injury updates

Montgomery expected to play

It's Sunday morning and the injury updates are filtering in. Many of the major developments (Miles Sanders being out) were discussed in a post on the site last night, but here are a couple of morning reports.

  • David Montgomery (groin) is expected to play for Chicago. Ian Rapoport said something about expecting him to see his normal workload. I'll believe it when I see it and am treading cautiously with Montgomery. But sounds like no one should be considering Tarik Cohen or Cordarrelle Patterson under the idea that Montgomery is out. I think he should be ranked around 25th-30th; use him if your alternative is worse.

  • Miles Sanders (hamstring) is out. I've seen people speculating a significant workload for Corey Clement. I don't see it. I will and am starting Boston Scott with confidence that he'll be featured.

  • Air quality should be OK for the San Francisco-Arizona game. Haven't seen anything negative this morning about Cowboys-Rams, which was also in question. Sounds like players in those games are fine to use.

  • Mike Evans (hamstring) upgraded to questionable, speculation he'll play but be on a pitch count. Speculation. If I have a decent alternative I'm using it. He could play and be fine, or he could stand on the sideline most of the game. Team lie. I don't like risking zeroes and avoid players with known injuries who were listed as doubtful 2 days ago.

  • There are conflicting reports on Mike Williams (shoulder). Schefter says our, Rapoport says in. This should be fun. Someone is being lied to. I don’t care if he’s active, I would not use him. Heavy target share for Keenan Allen.

  • N'Keal Harry is "good to go" for New England. He'd been dealing with a shoulder injury but was expected to be available.

  • Courtland Sutton (shoulder) being called a gametime decision for tomorrow night's Broncos game. I say don't use him. Noah Fant looks very appealing; we already liked him but he might lead the team in targets if Sutton doesn't play.
