The injury updates are coming in, and the most notable one not previously discussed involves the Saints. Chris Olave (concussion) is expected to be inactive today, apparently not clearing the protocol in time after practicing fully on Friday.
New Orleans had already ruled out both Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry with injuries, so that's all three of their top receivers unavailable. It should instead by Marquez Callaway, TreQuan Smith and Keith Kirkwood as the wideouts, and probably more passes to the tight ends (Juwan Johnson, Adam Trautman). And seemingly a better than average chance that Taysom Hill hits, not as a receiver but as a runner and change-up quarterback.
Other news and notes:
As discussed by Ian yesterday, no Jonathan Taylor or Nyheim Hines for the Colts. Should be a Deon Jackson and Phillip Lindsay combo, with Jackson the preferred option against Jacksonville.
Keenan Allen (hamstring) is doubtful to face the Broncos tomorrow night, i.e. he's not playing.
Damien Harris (hamstring) and Mac Jones (ankle) aren't expected to play for New England, but we were figuring that. Rhamondre Stevenson is ranked appropriately in the Friday Update. Jakobi Meyers (knee) is expected to play.
CeeDee Lamb is banged-up but expected to play for Dallas tonight against the Eagles.
Tee Higgins (ankle) is expected to be active against the Saints. Higgins being active isn't a surprise, the question is how healthy he'll be. He was active last week, but it didn't work out, so there's risk in starting him. Hayden Hurst (groin) is expected to play, and he should be fine.
Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is expected to play. No word on whether he'll catch multiple passes.
Couple of stories involving potential trade candidates. Most notable is Cam Akers. The Ian Rapoport one says "he's expected to draw significant interest," which sounds like a line fed to him by the Rams themselves. Sorry, running backs averaging 3.0 yards per attempt and not shown to be recovered from Achilles injuries (and apparently at odds with successful head coaches) don't typically draw significant trade interest. But I guess we'll see. The other one involves Christian McCaffrey; we'll see about that, too. But it wouldn't be shocking if the Panthers blew things up and shipped out a star or two for picks.
