Steel Curtain from Toronto, ON Takes the Top Spot in Week 6

Our week six winner, Tony Falvo and his squad, Steel Curtain, picked the top two eligible WRs and the top two eligible RBs to top the field and take home this week’s prize. Tony bet that the good times would keep on rolling for Etienne, Mostert and Thielen and boy did they. He went four for five on top ranked RB/WR and that core made up 49% of this week’s winning roster. While he did leave plenty of points on the board, it was a down week across the league and Tony’s top score earned 80% of the max roster’s score, which is pretty impressive. The average through five weeks was 72.8% with only Dam Guy in week three sharing the rarified air with the Steel Curtain, he had 79% of the max score.

The Blackout had a bunch of hits this week with seven of the top scoring players blacked out. But there was plenty of meat left on the bone in the eligible player pool. Dak and London came out of nowhere with good weeks, Thielen and Mostert are for real and you have to love the usage for Etienne over the last two weeks. This was the lowest scoring perfect roster of the season by a big margin, so a rough week in the NFL.

The only notable performance from outside the player pool in week six was RB Kareem Hunt who put up 16.10 points. Zeke and Salvon Ahmed also put up solid RB numbers from outside the pool.

Evan Engram is the only player to make the most selected roster in both weeks five and six. The most popular players in week six put up 64.37% of the maximum possible score which is second only to week three.

Steel Curtain moved up fifty three spots in the overall rankings behind his top finish in week six. He is sitting at 202 overall. Last week’s winner, Forth and Long slid down seven spots to 9th overall after finishing 258th in week six. Chuck H. who had held down the number one overall spot two weeks in a row rumbled down to 4th place with a 233rd place finish. Taking over his spot atop the overall leaderboard is FIUSER0824 who has battled all season. This week’s 191.50 was good for 25th in week six, it’s the first time this team has scored below 200 points all season and is his second top 25 finish. FIUSER0824 has finished in the top 100 all six weeks in the 2023 Blackout and should be considered a serious contender going forward. Here’s a look at the Top 25 Overall:

A little feedback from a long time customer.

Our fantasy pool is entering its 25^th year and I have used multiple books and on-line tools over the years.

I have locked on to Fantasy Index as my go to for the last 5 years and have won the pool 3 of those years and finished no lower than 4^th.

Interesting to see how much more accurate you were at the end of the year compared to other books my competitors used.

I wanted to thank you for such an amazing product and your customer service. I ordered the wrong date for my update and called to correct the mistake. Your customer service person was very kind, helpful and took care of the issue immediately.

I have used your product for the past 18 years or so… Every now and then I will be tempted and look at what other magazines have to offer, quickly realizing no one comes close.

In addition to the magazine, I started buying the weekly updates years ago when my dad taught me a lesson. The draft came and dad was sitting in the 12 hole for his pick. He told me he felt very comfortable about who he was going to select but would not tell me who his prized gem was to be. I was doubtful. The pick? Priest Holmes (his first dynamite year). I remember telling my dad, "that is a decent pick but they plan to pull him at the goal line."
