C.J. Stroud limited in practice after concussion

Texans QB joined team after missing two weeks

Texans QB C.J. Stroud re-joined his teammates in limited practice after a two-game absence due to a concussion.

The rookie QB returned to practice Wednesday as he works his way through the concussion protocol after suffering a concussion during Week 14's loss to the New York Jets.

He still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist before he's allowed to start Sunday against AFC South rivals Tennessee Titans.

“Encouraging to have C.J. back at practice,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said, We’re just looking for efficiency, just being able to command the huddle....We don’t want him taking another hit.”

The Texans are currently on the bubble for the AFC's final wild-card spot and has a 36 percent of making the playoffs with a win this Sunday.

Houston faces the Colts in Indianapolis to finish the season. Both teams are currently 8-7.
