Dave Sjogren From Leland, NC Wins in Week 18

Dave pushed his way into the top spot after a hard fought season. He will finish 29th overall on the year. Although he selected just two top scoring players, a surprising group of stacks from the Giants, Texans and Vikings put Dave over the top. The Blackout showed up in a big way in Week 18. The top two QBs and the top three RBs were blacked out. Three of the top four WRs were unavailable. You would have had to reach all the way down to TE8 on the week to find the second highest TE score among available players. This week didn’t have as high of a ceiling as last week, but the deep cuts from the Blackout made up most of the massive tumble in the available points. The perfect score was 49.20 points lower.

There were so many several noteworthy games from outside the player pool this week. C. Wentz, QB, LAR was the QB4 overall with 27.75 points. Among WRs D. Wicks, GB; Q. Watkins, PHI; D. Bell, CLE; A. Iosivas, CIN and AT Perry, NO all topped 20 points. It was a big hype day for dynasty rosters.

The crowd made a good showing in a difficult week to finish the season. The most selected QBs, Jordan Love and Kyler Murray, had solid games. Nico Collins had another huge game and appeared on 49.5% of rosters. Season long crowd favorites DJ Moore and Michael Pittman struggled. The most selected players roster managed to put up a healthy 59.38% of the available points in week 18.

Los Pollos Hermanos did have a great season. Besides taking the top spot in the final week, they also have an 8th and a 13th place finish. A total of eight weeks in the top 100 helped them to a 29th place finish. At the top of the standing, DT BOMBERS made a valiant effort, finishing 28th in the final week. However, the team that has dominated the top of the leaderboard since Week 8, The Mighty Grimmace’s, was not to be caught. Their 47th place finish was good enough to finish in the top spot with a 39.90 point margin. Congratulations Mighty Grimmace’s on an amazing season! Here’s a look at the Top 25 Overall:

A little feedback from a long time customer.

Our fantasy pool is entering its 25^th year and I have used multiple books and on-line tools over the years.

I have locked on to Fantasy Index as my go to for the last 5 years and have won the pool 3 of those years and finished no lower than 4^th.

Interesting to see how much more accurate you were at the end of the year compared to other books my competitors used.

In addition to the magazine, I started buying the weekly updates years ago when my dad taught me a lesson. The draft came and dad was sitting in the 12 hole for his pick. He told me he felt very comfortable about who he was going to select but would not tell me who his prized gem was to be. I was doubtful. The pick? Priest Holmes (his first dynamite year). I remember telling my dad, "that is a decent pick but they plan to pull him at the goal line." Ever the teacher, dad explained he had purchased the Fantasy Football Index update and read Holmes would get the goal line carries. "Update?", I asked. That was 2002 and Holmes had 21 rushing TDs and Dad won the title! Lesson learned.

By the way, I have made the title game for the last 5 years in a row. Thanks for the detailed, hard work and an great product!
