Josh Reynolds, Broncos Agree To Two-Year Contract

Wide receiver Josh Reynolds and the Denver Broncos agree to a two-year contract worth up to $14 million. The Broncos will be his fourth NFL team after playing for the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans, and Detroit Lions.

Reynolds is coming off a season with 608 receiving yards and five touchdowns for the Lions. While getting a bad rep for his drops during the NFC Championship Game, he dropped only three passes during the regular season. He also averaged 15.2 yards per catch and lost only one fumble.

The former Texas A&M standout is a welcome addition to a Broncos receiving rotation filled with questions. Tim Patrick is returning after missing two seasons due to injury. Meanwhile, Marvin Mims will have an increased role on offense after the Broncos traded Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns.

Reynolds started his career as a fourth-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2017. He played there for four seasons until he signed a one-year contract to join the Titans. However, Tennessee waived him after tallying ten catches for 90 yards and no touchdowns in five games.

The Lions claimed him off waivers. In seven games for Detroit, he had 19 receptions for 306 yards and two touchdowns. In his first full season with the Lions (2022), Reynolds collected 479 yards and three touchdowns.

While Josh Reynolds will be in Denver for the next two seasons, the quarterback who will throw passes to him remains unknown. Aside from Jarrett Stidham and Ben DiNucci, the Broncos might add a quarterback through the 2024 NFL Draft.
