ESPN’s Field Yates shared his top 10 quarterbacks for fantasy football on June 20. There are no surprises at the top, with Josh Allen and Jalen Hurt taking the top two spots.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback takes the top rank after finishing the 2023 season with 4,306 passing yards, 524 rushing yards, 44 touchdowns (29 passing), and 18 interceptions. Those numbers translate to 410.9 fantasy points in standard mode or 24.2 points per game.
Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is second after tallying 3,858 passing yards, 605 rushing yards, 38 touchdowns (23 passing), and 15 interceptions. Those numbers were good for 371.9 fantasy points in standard mode last season, leading to a 21.9 per-game average.
Meanwhile, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson is third on Yates’ rankings despite playing only four games in his rookie season. He did show promise as a dual-threat quarterback in those games, throwing for 577 yards, rushing for 136, and collecting nine touchdowns.
After a superb 2023 season with the Baltimore Ravens, reigning NFL Most Valuable Player Lamar Jackson is the fourth-best quarterback on Yates’ list. Jackson also earned his second First-Team All-Pro selection with 3,678 passing yards, 821 rushing yards, and 29 touchdowns (24 passing).
Finally, three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes rounds up the top five. He helped the Kansas City Chiefs with 4,183 passing yards, 389 rushing yards, and 27 touchdowns. Those numbers helped them clinch a playoff berth, leading to a successful title defense in Super Bowl 58.
