Despite playing with multiple starting quarterbacks last season, wide receiver Amari Cooper finished with 72 receptions for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns. Those numbers earned him his sixth Pro Bowl selection in nine NFL seasons.
He's playing his best football lately, finishing with four 1,000-seasons in the last five years. However, his contract extension talks are silent or non-existent despite those results. This reality has one of Cooper's close friends posting a rant about the Cleveland Browns' unwillingness to keep the former Alabama standout.
The post reads:
" @CLEVELANDBROWNS one of the oldest organizations in the league. Coop the only back-to-back 1K receiver in franchise history. Record holder at 3 different NFL franchises. Where is the work you from these guys y'all believe in so much"

Cooper had 78 catches for 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns in 2022. It's his sixth of seven 1,000-yard seasons since his rookie season (2015). Even after they traded for Jerry Jeudy, Amari Cooper will remain the Browns' top option in the passing game.
Unlike last season, Cooper and the Browns hope Deshaun Watson will be their starting quarterback for the 2024 season. Having both players available, plus Nick Chubb's return from a knee injury, should keep the Browns a legitimate playoff contender.
