Amon-Ra St. Brown had a memorable offseason after signing a four-year, $120 million contract extension. However, after a spectacular 2023 season for the Detroit Lions, he earned that deal. It wasn’t a breakout year because he has been a consistent producer for the Lions since his 2021 rookie season. However, he elevated his game by tallying career-highs in receptions (119), receiving yards (1,515), and touchdowns (10).
However, after learning about the story he shared on the Netflix sports documentary series 'Receiver,' St. Brown's accomplishments looked more impressive. As the former USC standout revealed, he tore his oblique after the Lions' Week 4 victory against the Green Bay Packers. Despite that severe injury, in which the muscle was totally detached from the bone, he missed only one game throughout the season.

After the injury, St. Brown registered 115 receptions and 1,458 yards in the next 15 games. No one can question St. Brown's drive to succeed, even if he's not 100 percent. Therefore, he could be even better without nursing any injury.
In addition to showing that he's the best wideout in the league, St. Brown will give his best until the Lions win the Super Bowl.
