The National Football League has announced that Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, Atlanta Falcons linebacker Troy Andersen, and Chicago Bears punter Tory Taylor are the National Football Conference’s top players for Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season.
Goff earned NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors after a perfect performance during the Lions’ Monday Night Football match against the Seattle Seahawks. He completed all 18 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns. One of his scoring throws was a 70-yard strike to Jameson Williams. Meanwhile, he also connected with All-Pro wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown for another TD pass.
St. Brown and Goff flipped the script when the wideout found the quarterback for a touchdown pass. It’s Goff’s first NFL receiving touchdown and a perfect way to cap off a fantastic game, which resulted in victory for the Lions. Goff and the Lions will get a Week 5 bye before facing the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6.
Meanwhile, Andersen was all over the field during the Falcons’ Week 4 victory over the New Orleans Saints. The NFC Defensive Player of the Week had 16 tackles (one for negative yardage) and a 47-yard interception touchdown return.
That play marked Andersen’s first NFL interception and pick-six since he entered the league in 2022. That milestone could motivate him to play well against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Finally, Taylor became the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after averaging 55.4 yards per punt and landing three attempts inside the Los Angeles Rams’ ten-yard line. His punts helped the Bears earn a 24-18 win against the Super Bowl LVI champions. Taylor will try to keep his rhythm going when the Bears face the Carolina Panthers in Week 5.
