Last week, Brock Purdy became the fastest player in San Francisco 49ers quarterback in franchise history to reach 50 career passing touchdowns. That milestone might have motivated him to perform exceptionally during their 2024 Week 6 Thursday Night Football game against the Seattle Seahawks.
Purdy finished the game with 18 completions out of 28 attempts for 255 yards and three touchdowns. Two of his touchdown throws went to tight end George Kittle, while the other landed in Deebo Samuel’s hands. The quarterback from Iowa State added 19 rushing yards from four carries.
Purdy’s numbers translate to a 129.3 passer rating and a 90.4 QBR. More importantly, his performance helped the 49ers return to .500 after six weeks. His output against the Seahawks is also a nice bounce back from the two interceptions he threw in their Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Purdy finally had another interception-free game since Week 3 when they lost to the Los Angeles Rams despite him throwing for three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Purdy’s stats from Week 6 give him 1,629 passing yards, second-most in the league after Geno Smith. He is also fourth in touchdown passes with nine and fourth in completions with 121. Purdy can improve his numbers by delivering a solid stat line in their Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
