The National Football League named Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins, Green Bay Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, and Detroit Lions wide receiver/return specialist Kalif Raymond as the National Football Conference’s best players in Week 8 of the 2024 season.
Cousins was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week as he paced the Falcons offense with 276 passing yards and four touchdowns in their 31-26 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That victory improved their record to an NFC South-leading 5-3.
Meanwhile, Cooper was the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after tallying eight tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble in their Week 8 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Cooper has 2.5 sacks and 38 tackles this season.
Finally, Raymond was the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after finishing with 190 punt return yards against the Tennessee Titans. That total includes a 90-yard punt return touchdown, which is different from the receiving touchdown he had from Jared Goff.
