Question
What team has gone the longest without being led in passing yards (in a season) by a former first-round pick? (The Patriots, as an example, might seem like a good guess, with Tom Brady having played for so long there, but since he left, they’ve been led in passing by Cam Newton and Mac Jones, who were both former first-round picks).
Answer
Seattle Seahawks. Rick Mirer in 1995. He is the only first-round pick who has led that franchise in passing. Two other franchises currently have streaks over 10 years, Cowboys (Drew Bledsoe, 2007) and Raiders (Carson Palmer, 2012).
