The New York Giants have struggled in the first half of the 2024 NFL season, winning only two of their first eight games. While they still have time to turn their fortunes around, they will need rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. to deliver more explosive performances.
While the Giants dropped their Week 8 Monday Night Football showdown against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Tracy tallied 20 carries for 145 yards and a touchdown. That’s the second 100-yard game of his NFL career and his second game with a touchdown.
It isn't easy to gain that many yards against the Steelers because they rank fourth in rushing yards allowed per game (90.5). Meanwhile, his other 100-yard game came against the Seattle Seahawks, a team ranked 29th in rushing yards allowed per game (148.4).

The Giants should give Tracy more carries to help build his confidence and give them a fighting chance in every game. Having a shot is all they need as they embark on a challenging four-game stretch with games against the Washington Commanders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Dallas Cowboys.
Tracy and the Giants will also play the Carolina Panthers at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Their Week 11 bye is sandwiched between those games.
