Sunday morning injury updates

Pollard expected to play

The Sunday morning injury updates are coming in, with a few noteworthy developments. Here are the main ones being reported, as well as the fantasy impact.

  • Tony Pollard (foot) didn't practice all week, but he's expected to play for the Titans, according to Adam Schefter, reducing the fill-in appeal of Julius Chestnut, who should be the No. 2. Mason Rudolph is also expected to start at quarterback with Will Levis hurt/not very good.

  • Brian Robinson (hamstring) is expected to play.

  • The Schefter report on Puka Nacua (knee) isn't the most encouraging. "Rams expect WR Puka Nacua to be able to try to play Sunday vs. Seattle, despite him being listed as questionable due to a knee injury, per sources." I got burned benching Nacua last week and am planning to start him if he's active, but "being able to try to play" is a worrying phrasing. If you have an alternative ranked similarly, worth considering.

  • Both Jordan Love (groin) and Josh Jacobs (ankle) are expected to play. Love worries me a little, but when he came back seemingly early from his knee injury against the Vikings he put up big numbers. But I prefer a similarly ranked healthy option (e.g., I'm using Sam Darnold over him).

  • It sounds like the Jaguars will have Travis Etienne (hamstring), Tank Bigsby (ankle) and Brian Thomas (chest) all available. The running backs are less promising since both are playing (Friday rankings "if active" are correct).

  • Drake Maye cleared concussion protocol and will start for the Patriots. Ranked appropriately. The Titans aren't good, but their defense has been respectable.

  • Ezekiel Elliott will be inactive due to some sort of disciplinary issue. Rico Dowdle and Dalvin Cook should man Dallas's lousy running game. I think Cook can be slotted about where Elliott was on Friday; maybe not quite that high. Dowdle is the preferred option (using "preferred" loosely).

If I see anything else major before the early kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.
