The Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers played a Thursday Night Football game under heavy snowfall. While fans would call this “football weather,” the teams scored 43 points combined in favor of the home team. The Browns pulled off the upset thanks to their top players rising to the occasion.
Nick Chubb led Cleveland’s run game with 20 carries for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Crossing the goal line twice gives him 50 career touchdowns, a welcome milestone after suffering a gruesome knee injury that kept him sidelined for over a year. While he hasn’t had a 100-yard game this season, this performance against the Steelers could be his turning point.

Meanwhile, Myles Garrett won his duel with fellow Defensive Player of the Year T.J. Watt. Garrett had three sacks on Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson in the first quarter. Those sacks increased his total to ten, clinching his seventh-consecutive season with double-digit sacks.
Jameis Winston also had his heroic moment when he completed a two-point conversion despite having the battery pack of his communication device dangling out of his helmet. While he had pedestrian numbers (18 completions, 219 yards, and one interception), he willed the Browns to victory.
Cleveland’s victory halted the Steelers’ winning streak to five games. However, while the Browns have the bragging rights before they meet again in two weeks, the Steelers are still in a better position to enter the playoffs.
