Last week, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen became the first National Football League player to have a passing, a rushing, and a receiving touchdown in the same game. Those 18 points helped the Bills defeat the San Francisco 49ers, clinching the AFC East title and a playoff berth.
However, the Most Valuable Player candidate isn’t done completing feats that no player before him accomplished. This time, he became the first NFL player to have three passing and three rushing touchdowns in one game.
Allen accounted for 36 of the Bills’ 42 points in their Week 14 showdown against the Los Angeles Rams. He had a trio of one-yard touchdown runs, two coming in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, the All-Pro quarterback completed touchdown throws to Ty Johnson, Khalil Shakir, and Mack Hollins.

Despite his splendid effort, the Bills lost by two points, 44-42, even if they outscored the Rams in the fourth quarter, 21-6. The Rams led by as many as 17 points after Cooper Kupp collected his second touchdown catch in the game from quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Allen’s third touchdown run trimmed the deficit to two with one minute left in regulation. However, Buffalo failed to retrieve the onside kick, allowing Los Angeles to consume all remaining time to preserve their victory.
While Allen and the Bills can bounce back in Week 15, they’ll have to win against the formidable Detroit Lions. After which, Buffalo will close out the regular season against the New York Jets and the New England Patriots (twice).
