Tight end Travis Kelce is having a down season based on his lofty standards. Through 16 games, he has 97 receptions for 823 yards and three touchdowns. However, his Christmas Day performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers earned him some personal milestones and franchise records.
Kelce had eight catches from Patrick Mahomes, securing his seventh consecutive season with at least 90 receptions. The All-Pro tight end also reached the 1,000 career receptions milestone after the win against the Steelers.
Meanwhile, his fourth-quarter touchdown catch is the 77th of his career and the most by any Chiefs player. Kelce edged his fellow tight end, Tony Gonzalez, with that catch that extended Kansas City’s advantage to 18, 28-10.
If you ever can’t find Travis, chances are he’s in the end zone.

As of Week 17 of the 2024 NFL season, Kelce has 12,151 receiving yards in 174 games. He also has two rushing touchdowns out of 15 yards. Those numbers earned him seven All-Pro and nine Pro Bowl selections.
In addition to those records and accolades, Kelce helped the Chiefs secure the American Football Conference’s top seed. If the Chiefs give their starters a breather during their regular season finale against the Denver Broncos, Kelce will have two weeks of rest before returning to action. More importantly, their hope of becoming the first team to win three consecutive Super Bowl titles is still alive.
