It's the first Sunday of the NFL season, and the injury updates are coming in. Here's what's being reported so far, primarily by Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport (they've got the best sources/foot soldiers).
Jeremiyah Love (ankle) is expected to play for Arizona. Love was officially questionable after practicing on a limited basis all week. He's ranked conservatively; limited snaps seem likely, with Tyler Allgeier potentially playing just as often.
Rome Odunze (calf) is expected to play for Chicago. Odunze was also questionable and also limited in practice all week. We saw Odunze playing through injury some last year and it usually didn't go well.
Alvin Kamara (knee) is not expected to play. Mildly surprising because he did practice fully at the end of the week. Travis Etienne should get most of the work, with Kendre Miller the No. 2 (Audric Estime has already been ruled out).
Malik Nabers (knee) is questionable. He practiced fully during the week, but there's some talk they're leaving the decision up to him and he's leaning to err on the side of caution. The Giants promoted two wide receivers from the practice squad yesterday, which some view as a sign Nabers will be inactive. New York only had 4 wide receivers on their roster, so they'd probably have promoted 1 or 2 anyway, and regardless you could argue they promoted those guys "in case Nabers didn't play", as opposed to "because he won't play". But if you're hoping to use Nabers tonight (it's the primetime game) you want to have an alternate available in either Giants-Cowboys or Broncos-Kansas City tomorrow night, in case Nabers winds up inactive.
Cooper Rush (back spasms) will start for the Falcons. I know, no one cares.
Bunch of stories about guys who didn't get new contracts before the start of the season. Whatever.
If I see anything else noteworthy before the early kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.
