Sunday morning injury updates

Breece down again

It's Sunday morning and there's an extra hour to wait for the games, but some injury reports are coming in. Here are the notable ones.

  • It sounds like Breece Hall (quad) will be out again, with Braelon Allen starting for the Jets. That's what Ian Rapoport is reporting. Allen is ranked appropriately in the Friday update.

  • Jakobi Meyers (hamstring, ankle) should play for Jacksonville.

  • Saquon Barkley will play for the Eagles, and Philadelphia is reportedly not intending to trade him. This makes sense in part because although the Eagles don't have Jalen Hurts the rest of the season, they are only 2 games out of a pretty lousy division, so throwing in the towel makes less sense for them than say the Colts. Speaking of which...

  • Jonathan Taylor is a player the Colts are reportedly open to trading. There are some worries that the Colts might either hold him out of today's game against Jacksonville or potentially limit him, as him getting hurt would obviously screw up such hopes. I can't just dismiss such talk, we saw the Cardinals hold Marvin Harrison out of a game due to having a trade in place, and if the Colts are close in talks they could go that route. All I can say is that at the moment I have not heard of the Colts doing that, and would be pretty risky to sit him down in a lineup for a much lesser player only to have Taylor start and run for a 30-yard touchdown at some point. But people should continue to be vigilant for reports right up until gametime, and of course there's always the chance he simply winds up inactive at 11:30 a.m. Eastern, taking the decision out of our hands. This is a decision people need to make based on what they're comfortable with. Seth McGowan should definitely be rostered, though it's probably too late if you don't already have him.

  • Several banged-up wide receivers are expected to play: George Pickens (hamstring, shoulder) and Jaylen Waddle (chest) most notably. "Trending toward playing," according to Adam Schefter. I really don't like some of these phrasings. Waddle isn't "trending toward" anything. Whatever.

  • Sounds like both Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price might be active for tomorrow night's game against the Bears. I do not think using either would be a great choice, just because of uncertainty, and it's also worrying to use Emanuel Wilson. Where Wilson was ranked on Friday, he was down near a lot of No. 2s and committee type backs. Of the guys in his general area in the PPR rankings, I would use Jordan Mason, ranked one spot behind, over Wilson. The others are no more sure things than he is. But in general, the Seattle backfield seems to have more risk than reward this week.

If I see anything else noteworthy before the early kickoffs, I'll post in the comments below.
