It's Sunday morning, and the injury updates are rolling in. Here are some of the news items being reported.
Couple important ones from Ian Rapoport. Amon-Ra St. Brown (rib) and Emeka Egbuka (foot) are both expected to play for the Lions and Bucs, respectively.
Christian McCaffrey (hamstring) will reportedly have a full workload today.
New England has activated Mack Hollins from injured reserve. When A.J. Brown got hurt in Week 1, Hollins was the initial beneficiary. Now Brown and Romeo Doubs are hurt, and Hollins looks like one of the top 2 along with DeMario Douglas.
Denver activated Pat Bryant from IR. I like Bryant, but his presence just makes it even harder to get excited about any of the team's wideouts. Makes Courtland Sutton less appealing, for sure.
Christian Kirk is back on IR for San Francisco. He'd already been ruled out. Jordan Watkins, Jacob Cowing and Demarcus Robinson probably the main wideouts. Watkins is the guy I'd consider, but a sketchy group.
The Commanders have placed Brian Robinson (hamstring) on IR. The No. 2 for Atlanta will be Khalil Herbert for at least 4 more games.
Maybe lost in the shuffle yesterday: the Saints released Kendre Miller. Would be surprising if Miller had done more with his opportunities. They brought back Audric Estime, and will hopefully have Travis Etienne back for next week. Alvin Kamara the main guy today.
Another Rapoport report this morning, saying that Lamar Jackson could return in 6-9 weeks. It's Week 9, so I guess theoretically there's a shot of Jackson returning for Week 17 or 18. But seems like a really long shot, and I don't think people should be burning a roster spot on Lamar with the hope he returns for the fantasy playoffs. If you have an IR spot, OK, maybe. But realistically he'll need the team to make the playoffs to play again this season.
Daniel Jones might get traded. OK? Not interesting with Indy this season and probably not elsewhere either.
