Atlanta and New York have filed their injury reports. There are a few tweaks that affect player ratings.
No new light is shed on Roddy White. He's questionable with the ankle. He was limited in practice all week. He made the troubling comments yesterday, indicating he aggravated the ankle issue in the New England game. He said something along the lines of regretting playing as much as he did.
With that in mind, the general recommendation is to go without White in fantasy leagues, if possible. He'll play, but we're probably looking at a decoy-or-less-productive-than-usual deal. If you have White, the hope is he can get through this game unscathed, rest up during the Week 6 bye, then return relatively healthy in Week 7.
The Falcons will be without left tackle Sam Baker. That's big. The offensive line is really a problem with this team (even with Baker).
Julio Jones (knee) is questionable, but we're not taking that too seriously. Yes, Jones came out of the New England game late, briefly. He's not healthy. But he's been questionable and playing -- playing effectively -- with this injury for quite a while. You start White.
The Falcons won't have Steven Jackson, but that was never in question. The rest of the injury report is at atlantafalcons.com
The Jets also have a few injuries. Most notably, Kellen Winslow (knee) is questionable. Winslow is a guy that I considered to be a sneaky interesting pick this week. With the wide receivers banged up, I was thinking they'd use him more than usual. But I'm getting cold feet on that now.
Winslow should play, but it seems like he's not as healthy as he usually is. (Either that, or the Jets are just trying to be clever.) Normally, he's probable and does limited work in every practice. This time it's questionable, and he sat out the Thursday and Saturday workouts entirely. I will pass on Winslow.
The Jets have declared Santonio Holmes (hamstring) out, but it looks like Stephen Hill (concussion) will play. He's probable. So it should be Hill and Jeremy Kerley as the primary receiving options in this game, with Winslow maybe right there with them.
Also note that it looks like New York's reserve running backs should play. Both Chris Ivory and Mike Goodson are probable. These guys should be active and in uniform, possibly resulting in fewer touches for Bilal Powell.
