Rashee Rice came cooking during his rookie season

Wide receiver Rashee Rice is a Super Bowl champion after his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he wasn’t just fortunate to be with the league’s best team. Instead, he was vital to the team’s third Super Bowl title in five seasons.

The second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft finished the regular season with 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns. His game took off after their matchup against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany. Since then, he's had games with 72 and 91 receiving yards.

Rice also had two 100-yard games during his first NFL season. He had 107 yards on November 26 against the Las Vegas Raiders and 127 yards in Week 17 versus the Cincinnati Bengals on December 31. In preparation for the postseason, he was inactive for their regular-season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers.

During the Wild Card Round, Rashee Rice torched the Miami Dolphins' defense with eight receptions for 130 yards and a touchdown. After Super Bowl 58, he established the record for most postseason receptions by a rookie with 26.

Beyond that record, he is a Super Bowl champion after one season. Some NFL players chase this achievement throughout their careers but never fulfill it.

With a ton of playoff experience and solid leadership from Patrick Mahomes, Rice will only get better in his second season. A breakout season for Rice would be astonishing, especially when he will be paid a $1.045 million base salary in 2024, the second in his four-year contract.
