Jeffery Simmons Has Some Words for Caleb Williams

The Chicago Bears will face the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 of the 2024 National Football League season. It will be a baptism of fire for first-overall pick Caleb Williams if he proves at training camp that he’s the rightful starting quarterback.

However, with the stakes higher and the opposition more challenging, Williams must elevate his game to succeed in pro football. However, it won't be easy for the former Heisman Trophy winner because defensive end Jeffery Simmons will be hunting him on opening weekend.

When the two-time All-Pro reaches the former Oklahoma and USC standout, he will say, "Painted Nails."

The Bears hope that they'll have the Heisman version of Williams. Conversely, the Titans' defensive line won't make it easy because Simmons, Sebastian Joseph-Day, and T'Vondre Sweat will be attacking Chicago's offensive linemen.

The Titans and the Bears hope to clinch a postseason berth in 2024. Tennessee missed the cut in the last two seasons and hasn't won a playoff game since 2019. Meanwhile, Chicago last made the playoffs in 2020 and experienced their previous postseason victory in 2010.

Williams and Simmons will be vital in their respective team's success. Therefore, Week 1 can set the tone for their respective campaigns.
