The Dallas Cowboys have announced that wide receiver CeeDee Lamb will be out for their final two regular-season games due to a shoulder injury. While the condition won’t require surgery, there’s no sense in playing him in Weeks 17 and 18 because the Cowboys are already out of playoff contention.
Therefore, Lamb will finish the 2024 NFL season with 101 receptions for 1,194 yards and six touchdowns. While those numbers are enough to secure his fourth-consecutive 1,000-yard season, they are a far cry from his 2023 stats (135 catches, 1,749 yards, 12 TDs).

Furthermore, Lamb has three 100-yard games in 2024, one-third of his tally last season, including their Wild Card Round loss to the Green Bay Packers. In addition to Lamb’s reduced production, it has been a disappointing season for a team that was the NFC’s second seed a year ago.
The Cowboys lost five straight games from a 3-2 record, scoring single digits in two. However, after winning four of their last five games, Dallas is on a good run to finish the season. They have back-to-back victories against the Carolina Panthers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, wherein Lamb had consecutive 100-yard games.
