We have laid our foundations and put up our framing, now it's time for the insulation and drywall. We're knocking down the literal back nine of this year's Invitational.
10th Round
| Pick | Team | Player | Position |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10.01 | Andy Richardson | Bo Nix | QB |
| 10.02 | Todd Zola | Brock Purdy | QB |
| 10.03 | Nate S. | Rachaad White | RB |
| 10.04 | Bobby L. | Jordyn Tyson | WR |
| 10.05 | Ian Allan | Quentin Johnston | WR |
| 10.06 | Luke Wilson | Jared Goff | QB |
| 10.07 | Ben Prator | Matthew Stafford | QB |
| 10.08 | Steven S. | Jayden Reed | WR |
| 10.09 | Brent Miles | Patrick Mahomes | QB |
| 10.10 | Andrew Scuoler | Jordan Love | QB |
| 10.11 | Pat Fitzmaurice | Kyler Murray | QB |
| 10.12 | Viva Murillo! | Michael Pittman | WR |
Favorite Picks: The heart of an abrupt run on quarterbacks goes straight through the 10th, with 7 picks used on the position. As a result, the whole round really screamed value: Ian's shrewd Quentin Johnston buy definitely gets a thumbs up, and Zola nabbing Purdy is just tremendous — on top of being one of the most statistically productive QBs per game in recent seasons, the guy quasi-single handedly took Ian to the mountaintop last year.
In nabbing Bo Nix Andy grabs the other QB of my foremost desire (Nix coming off back-to-back top 8 finishes to start his NFL career... and he's going back here?). Nix now gets a major WR upgrade with the arrival of Jaylen Waddle, and the Broncos were so desperate to retain new OC Davis Webb that Sean Payton even relinquished play calling duties. Nix and Purdy can beat these prices by a good bit.
Obviously, he's coming off of the ACL, he's pledging that last year's rushing spike was a bad idea that will not be repeated, and he's got comfortably the third-best receiving group in the AFC West. But still: Patrick Mahomes at the end of the 10th? That's an easy one to love.
Worried About:: It's still a good pick (he did just sign a contract extension after all), but the latest indications out of Packers camp is that Jayden Reed is primed to be the odd man out in 2-WR looks for Green Bay to start 2026. With teams looking to get 2 tight ends on the field more and the team bringing in big Josh Whyle, Reed could be backed into a boom/bust corner.
A word on Fitzmaurice's Kyler Murray gambit: People are pretty split on whether or not the Kyler-KOC partnership is going to work, and a rocky training camp leading up to him being named the starter hasn't settled the issue. My two cents is that Kyler will continue his 'better in fantasy than reality' ways for at least 12 starts of top 12 per game production.
11th Round
| Pick | Team | Player | Position | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 11.01 | Viva Murillo! | Jakobi Meyers | WR | |
| 11.02 | Pat Fitzmaurice | Malik Willis | QB | |
| 11.03 | Andrew Scuoler | KC Concepcion | WR | |
| 11.04 | Brent Miles | Isaiah Likely | TE | |
| 11.05 | Steven S. | Houston | DEF | |
| 11.06 | Ben Prator | Romeo Doubs | WR | |
| 11.07 | Luke Wilson | Stefon Diggs | WR | |
| 11.08 | Ian Allan | Mark Andrews | TE | |
| 11.09 | Bobby L. | Zach Charbonnet | RB | |
| 11.10 | Nate S. | Baker Mayfield | QB | |
| 11.11 | Todd Zola | Dalton Kincaid | TE | |
| 11.12 | Andy Richardson | Dallas Goedert | TE |
Favorite Picks: Viva's Jakobi Meyers buy probably makes the list here if not for his last second wrist injury to breathe intrigue back into this WR pecking order. I can't help but love the Mayfield and the Willis buys, warts and all. Isaiah Likely has gone pretty much wire-to-wire drawing both targets and praise for his new team. KC Concepcion here in the 11th is my kind of cost-to-upside ratio. Dalton Kincaid has shown every ability in spades but availability; if he plays a full slate he can do big things.
But Houston looks to be on the verge of fielding one of the most imposing defenses of the decade. Armed to the teeth at all three levels, Houston was surpassed by Seattle in our scoring last year only because of their fluky-high 7 D/ST touchdowns. These Texans can right that wrong and finish No. 1 overall. I also really like Mark Andrews here. We know the tight end position is central to this offense, and just a few months ago Andrews was surprisingly chosen over the departing Likely for a contract extension. Andrews already enjoys primary red zone status due to Zay Flowers' teeny catch radius and Lamar's aversion to taking it to paydirt himself, so if he were to recapture any kind of involvement between the 20s he could outperform this draft slot by quite a bit.
Worried About:: I'm not sure what to make of the Romeo Doubs contract. Was he really New England's 'guy', or was he a door prize signing after Alec Pierce and Rashid Shaheed opted to stay put and until the Patriots could actually get A.J. Brown in the building? And why does Green Bay sound happy to have let him walk? But Doubs has flashed before, and he's got ample cash guarantees extending into 2027; he's going to be around for the foreseeable future.
12th Round
| Pick | Team | Player | Position | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12.01 | Andy Richardson | De'Zhaun Stribling | WR | |
| 12.02 | Todd Zola | Sam Darnold | QB | |
| 12.03 | Nate S. | L.A. Rams | DEF | |
| 12.04 | Bobby L. | Jalen Coker | WR | |
| 12.05 | Ian Allan | Hunter Henry | TE | |
| 12.06 | Luke Wilson | Rashid Shaheed | WR | |
| 12.07 | Ben Prator | Chig Okonkwo | TE | |
| 12.08 | Steven S. | Brandon Aubrey | K | |
| 12.09 | Brent Miles | Matthew Golden | WR | |
| 12.10 | Andrew Scuoler | Wan'Dale Robinson | WR | |
| 12.11 | Pat Fitzmaurice | Denzel Boston | WR | |
| 12.12 | Viva Murillo! | Brian Robinson | RB |
Favorite Picks: Andy gets straight to business with the De'Zhaun Stribling grab, and with how much hype he's generating I'm surprised he made it this long. Stribling has moved into the top 100 players for some analysts — even before this deluge of preseason action. The Rams' defense coming off the board a round after Houston feels like solid value to me. Chig Okonkwo hype certainly wasn't helped by the Stefon Diggs signing, but I'm not ready to call it DOA either — like Likely in Baltimore, a month from now we could find out Tennessee had been squandering a star for years.
Jalen Coker has to get a shoutout. I really wanted to take him in the previous round, and if not for my reservations about Carolina's overall passing environment I would have. His emergence down the stretch last year and huge playoff performance sure felt like Carolina realizing they couldn't keep this kid off the field any longer. Matthew Golden is coming off of a very dicey rookie season; if he hadn't shown something in their playoff game against Chicago I really wonder if Green Bay's whole offseason doesn't go differently. But he did, and the Packers have since moved on from both Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks. Golden is playing over the veteran Reed in key personnel sets. The stars are beginning to align for this pick to return value at this price. How much value I'm not yet sure, but it's the right kind of real estate to buy at this point in the draft.
Worried About:: It cost him a chance to handcuff Bijan Robinson cleanly, which is about all the bad I can say about Fitzmaurice's Denzel Boston pick. The kid out of Puyallup has had a summer every bit as strong as Stribling, and recently pushed Jerry Jeudy out of the starting X role (Jeudy should have been out of that role the second that Cleveland turned in the draft card with Boston's name on it, but I digress). Still like the pick, but don't like what it wound up costing him.
