Bryce versus Christine

Door No. 3 might be the best choice

My dynasty league waivers run tonight, and both Bryce Brown and Christine Michael are available. Not Denard Robinson or Brandon Bolden; those guys are on rosters already. I've gone back and forth on which new Seattle running back to rank higher.

I'm not actually going to get either player, of course; I'm around 9th in the rolling waiver wire. I used my priority on Seth Roberts a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still working my way back up.

At first I thought Brown, since he's starting this week. But since he's been released by the Bills and Seahawks this season, it's clear teams don't love the guy. Too many fumbles, too much freelancing.

Then there's Christine Michael. I wasn't even aware he had practice squad eligibility when he signed with Washington a few weeks back. That didn't work out for too long. Released from Washington's practice squad seems like a sure ticket out of the NFL.

But now they're both in Seattle, and one will lead that backfield in rushing the rest of the way. So which one?

I'm going with Bryce. He was signed first. He's had a couple of big games as an NFL running back. The Bills liked him enough to trade a pick for him. Pete Carroll indicated either Brown or DuJuan Harris would start for Seattle this week, and then he cut Harris.

Michael was dumped by Seattle. And Dallas. And Washington. In the last three months. Could all those teams be wrong?

Seattle brought him back, true, and he knows their system better than Brown. Presumably. But his signing could also just be a team in need of running backs adding warm bodies who happen to know their way around the locker room.

So it's Brown, and then Michael, and that's probably the way the Seattle backfield will shake down.

And when I don't get either player, I'll get Fozzy Whittaker, also available, and a good bet to be the team's lead running back this week, and perhaps the week after that, with Cameron Artis-Payne the No. 2.

Until something happens tomorrow to change everything all over again.

Does Seattle trust Michael enough to give him a full workload? Seams a warm body could put up 100 yards and a TD against Cleveland. Hope rankings are wrong about Wilson because I'm facing him and his 400 weekly TD passes...

Dan, if you can only start 1 of them, I'd go Bolden. At least there's a track record of usage. But yeah, Belicheck...Me, I lost out on Robinson, but got both Bolden & Brown. (Keeper/salary cap, I dropped Luck & freed up $61 of a $200 cap.) So now my stable of backs is Freeman, J. Allen, Bolden, Brown, Langford & Hillman. Can start 2 RB & flex. Looks like Allen is the odd man out this week?

Thanks for the response!
Well I am trying to weed out my multiple rb. Like I said, Bryce was my original no brainer.
Actually I have, Blue, Benard, Bryce and Bolden. Lol the 4 B's.
Good luck(not the Andrew type)and
Have fun!

Timely topic Andy. Michael has always been a tease - lots of talent/speed, but questionable effort and hasn't developed his pass blocking skills. I know less about B. Brown but tend to prefer him due to his better size. I am worried that both these backs have poor vision and haven't been able to translate their college success to the NFL. I also have RB issues after losing Foster, Ingram, and Rawls, then watching Freeman and C. West do nothing the last few weeks. Also, trying to depend on Ronnie Hillman and the suddenly anemic Broncos offense is not a recipe for success.

What about Steven Jackson and Cameron Artis- Payne?

I like Artis-Payne but it seems like he will be behind Whittaker at least in the short term. New England hasn't even signed Jackson yet and I'm thinking that means he won't be signed. No way New England adds him this late in the week and starts him. It's going to be Bolden in Week 15. Week 16 they are at the Jets and won't run the ball at all.

Watched Pete Carrolls press conference, he said he wouldn't announce starter till game time. I picked up Michael, maybe he starts?
Everyone like shoelace, maybe a little overrated?

My opponent in the first week of the playoffs has Blount, so naturally I picked up Bolden. I also have the tough decision of starting three between Hightower, Lacy, Shoelace, Brown, and Bolden.

Oh...I forgot that I also have West

With shoelace there's very little uncertainty about who is starting. And the Falcons have fallen apart on defense

If Ware out I love West. When in doubt I'm going to favor the full-time guy, like Robinson. That's two of them ...for the others I go with the rankings

I'm leaning toward Hightower, West, and Sheolace. Concerned about Lacy splitting time with Starks...and not quite ready to start Bolden or Brown.
