The 49ers defense has played a lot better at home this season. Only one team, Cincinnati, has scored more than 20 points against them in seven games. But this doesn't mean anyone should be hurrying to sit down Todd Gurley, the league's best young running back.
Seven different teams have brought their ground games into Levi's Stadium. Five featured-type ballcarriers and a couple of committees. Four have got in the end zone, and all but one have managed at least 79 total yards; four have been over 90. Gurley is as good as any of those backs. San Francisco has also allowed a league-worst 19 rushing scores. Most (13) on the road, but 6 at home in those seven contests.
