Sunday morning injuries

Update: Ivory, Spiller out

It's Sunday morning, and time to set final lineups. After spending some time with my favorite morning NFL Network announcer Melissa Stark and the Sunday crew, I didn't have a lot of unexpected information to report. But there are a couple of notes.

  • C.J. Spiller is a healthy scratch. Those crafty Saints, acting as if they liked him. Tim Hightower should be the next back in behind Mark Ingram.

  • Jamaal Charles is out, as expected. It will be Spencer Ware and Charcandrick West (I'm not expecting Knile Davis to have an offensive role) as the main backs, and Ware is the one I'd consider in a lineup. Kicking myself for not spending the $1 I was considering for West on a Friday pickup in a FFPC league. He won't come that cheap next week.

  • DeVante Parker won't play against Seattle. We've been pushing Kenny Stills as the No. 2 for most of the preseason.

  • Chris Ivory is Inactive. Wouldn't have been a great option against the Packers anyway, and T.J. Yeldon is a more appealing choice now.

  • Jimmy Graham is going to play for the Seahawks. Probably also be on a snap count and best avoided, but it's a promising development for his future this season.

  • Dennis Pitta will apparently start at tight end for the Ravens. It's not enough that it's impossible to know which Ravens running back or wide receiver to use, now we have to guess which tight end will be most involved, too. If you can avoid Ravens players entirely, that's the way to go.
