Running back Josh Jacobs will continue his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers after signing a four-year, $48 million contract extension. He will fill the role previously played by Aaron Jones, now with the Minnesota Vikings.
While Jacobs is among the league's best at his position, he could establish a record by making five receptions without a touchdown. As B/R Gridiron pointed out, Jacobs has 197 career catches without a touchdown pass. He will own the record for most career receptions without a touchdown catch if he gets five more catches from Jordan Love.

Luckily for the Packers, that's not Jacobs' bread and butter. They will benefit the most from his elusive running that led to 805 rushing yards and six touchdowns last season. The year before, Jacobs earned a First-Team All-Pro selection after leading the league in rushing yards (1,653) with 12 touchdowns.
That's the Josh Jacobs the Packers would like to have. If he returns to that form, Green Bay will be among the top contenders for an NFC postseason berth in 2024. They will be in better shape if he gets some receiving touchdowns to break this record.
